Finally a good take. It's also important to mention that consoles thrive in competitive games that, on pc, require anti cheat programs that can't run on steam os because of Linux based limitations
while I can appreciate the explanation, that last paragraph is exactly why I struggle to see who this is even for.
I can’t imagine PC owners caring to pay this much (to probably downgrade) instead of just running an HDMI cord to their TV,
and I’m not sure the average console owner will want to restart their game libraries with a $1000+ console, even if it does mean not having to pay subscriptions anymore.
I’d love to see this take over the console market I just don’t see that happening, at least not for awhile.
What a terrible take. What does buying a steam machine have to do with memory shortage? You aren't countering it. The shortage will remain, because the cause is independent of gaming
I am buying the steam machine.
No its not worth its cost
BUT the cost came from a memory shortage caused by MS & Nvidia.
By not buying the Steam Machine we are supporting the companies that pushed it to fail.
If you look at it as a console like device, it looks even worse. Worse performance for almost double the price than traditional consoles. Plus, traditional consoles actually include a controller in the box
I feel bad for Valve here tbh. Everyone attacking them over the price when it's largely out of their control and due to the insane prices on memory currently
Obviously you can build a better PC yourself cheaper but I view this more as a "PC console" rather than a typical PC
Except that it isn't more powerful than any current gen consoles that aren't handhelds from what the reviews show. It's a wannabe console that is worse than actual consoles and running hardware that is made for laptops in a desktop body
I keep seeing people complain about the price, so I’m throwing in my two cents:
I dunno if you knew this, but..
IT IS A PC!!
It’s not a console, it’s far more powerful than that, and far cheaper than literally most pre-built gaming PCs. Hecc, it’s about $200 cheaper than what my hand-built was, and that PC’s 7 years old now! Plus, the Steam Machine can literally be used like a PC, which is incredible!
So
TL;DR
It’s a super affordable PC that’s roughly the size of the GameCube (if not smaller), not an overpriced console. If you say otherwise, I’m gonna cry I swear.
Also: it not including a controller? Yeah, because it’s a PC and (presumably) assumes you have a mouse and keyboard already and maybe a controller. Don’t have a controller but want to play with one? Go to Goodwill and get a wired Logitech one for like $12, it’ll treat you well I promise.
That’s my rant for the year, love y’all 💖🥰
The Steam Machine is trying to compete with the likes of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, but it's not a better product and it's almost twice the price of the base versions of each. If we mention the PS5 Pro it's an even bigger fail, being worse, pricier and offering less base storage
>It's too expensive I could build a better computer for the same price.
Do it, no one cares.
This is going to be an awesome machine for people who play in their living rooms / use it to legally obtain media and watch shows on the desktop mode.
We are too busy hyper criticizing everything that doesn't concern us.
People who are clearly never going to buy anything are way too opinionated on something they have never actually had, go cry about it on Reddit.
As redes sociais no Instagram de vários jogadores da seleção nacional estão a ser invadidas de comentários a acusar os atletas de não passarem a bola a Ronaldo e a pedirem respeito para com o capitão da seleção nacional, entre outras observações.
Portuguese here. Ronaldo is not a solution. Players feel obligated to look for him and pass to him. He's holding us back. Put Ramos, Félix or even Guedes upfront and you won't see that. Any of them will play for the team and allow the team to play as a whole
Spoken like somebody that only watches Portugal once a year…..
Portugal’s top goal scorer in the nations league and we won over Spain last year but he holds us back…
Portugal’s top goal score in World Cup qualifiers yet he’s holding us back…
You gotta stop watching ESPN to get your news, bro
Gajos vão ler isto e dizer “mas não temos nenhum melhor”, ao que eu respondo sem ironia nenhuma que nós não temos é nenhum pior. Com esta equipa e com os minutos que ele tem, nem o Hélder Postiga fazia estes números.
EU users will be happier with a much more capable assistant anyway. Apple stans are so brand loyal that they never step back, analyse what's actually available on the market and realise that Apple isn't all of that
You may hate Zverev for what he may have done outside of the court, but considering what he has accomplished inside the court this is the biggest cope I've seen in a while. Zverev is, by a mile, the best player of his generation
The best 90’s gen player is still Thiem and it’s not even debatable
Cuckrev scamming the 250 choke slam means nothing when stats like this expose him:
VS 90s gen slam finalists:
(Raonic, Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsi, Berrettini, Ruud, Kyrgios & Fritz)
Thiem: 12-1 in slams
Zverev: 3-12 in slams
😂😂😂😂😂
I don't want to disappoint anyone, but if Maja plays her game, Andreeva will struggle, there's no way Andreeva ever wins in two sets unless Maja succumbs to the pressure
