@AlasdairGold Kinsky, Porro, Van Hecke, Van der Ven, Udogie, Tonali, Bentancur, Fernandes, Savio, Solanke, Tel will be starting XI. Marmoush, Kudus and Robertson will come on as subs for Dom, Savio and Udogie.
First PL game for a very long time that we’re not talking about appalling ref. Thought ref was excellent. RDZ incredible at motivating and creating strong team ethos, playing round pegs in round holes, installing confidence. Identifying tactical plan to suit and coaching it well. But it sure helps to have a decent ref.

@AlasdairGold Am guessing Romero on bench tmrw night with Danso/ VdV centre backs, Spence and Udogie start full backs, Porro Gray Sarr midfield Solanke Muani Xavi forwards. Bergvall on bench. No Palhina or Gallagher tmrw but back for Sunday
He may have failed the man management tests so far, but everything Tudor has said about the nature of the club problems has been accurate and what most fans now realise about the ownership, exec management and previous coach. Should he be given more time beyond international break or not?
@LastWordOnSpurs Round pegs in round holes mostly and some proper fight throughout the whole team. Is it coincidence this performamce comes without Romero and VDV playing? And with Xavi providing some creative forward threat?
@AlasdairGold Best half since Tudor arrived: all out there really putting the effort in today so far. Got done by clever trick for free kick and bad goalkeeping.
@RickySacks@LastWordOnSpurs Totally agree Tudor looks the Wrong manager at the wrong time. Would it be any comfort that it looks like we’ll be no worse off than Man City after first leg… 🤦🏻🤦🏻
@NathanAClark Everything he’s done in games since joining says he’s the Wrong man for this job. No consistent pattern of play or team shape. Players played way out of position and zero account taken of opposition style or strengths. He’s destroyed Xavi confidence.
No patterns of play visible going forward at all, looks like first time most of these pkayers have ever played with each other, so many passes not finding a Spurs teammate. This feels like the inheritance from Frank. Club hire a coach with different style each time so hard for players coached in low block for 7 months to know how to play together in high press game. Woeful club ownership who have no clue on football strategy. Fulham are a decent well drilled mid table outfit making us look like the shambles we are.
@LewisW2006@Daily_Hotspur Few mins before his goal he struck an incredible scissor kick just wide … serious talent and only 18, why not bring him back now?
Opposition have worked us out well after watching first ten games. Kudus stopped by doubling up on him. False nines / strikers drop deeper leaving 2 or 3 of our defenders marking no-one and gifting shooting chances from edge of our box, full backs not good enough to stop oppo wingers apart from Djed, and no strong patterns of play from us going forward leaving over-reliance on set pieces and throws which opposition now better prepared for. When was the last time we actually scored from a set piece?
Some of this is easy to fix eg: when we switched to high line defence v Fulham in 2nd half we dominated and their chances dried up. Some is harder cos we only have 1 forward looking any good right now in Muani, and no playmaker in form. The biggest problem Frank has seems to be that he says one thing about trying to play attacking football but all the evidence shows the team doing another, leading to fan disillusion. Why not just be honest and lead with fact our most creative players are out injured and it’s going to take time for the new creative unit to find form together?
The cold, ruthless winning decision now is to go for Glasner who has shown he’s a better manager to mould a team that’s more than the sum of its parts. Ange deserves a shot at another season and the way he’s managed the last few days plus the impressive way he managed the team to victory and has handled the press since, all support giving him more time at Spurs. But there’s a risk things don’t go well in the first ten games of a new season and then we’re in big trouble. Not sure Levy or the club are ruthless enough to get Glasner now and sack Ange, though.
