(5) ...Overall, we know these numbers massively under-represent the true scale of rough sleeping and the homelessness crisis.”

(4) ...as these only include the people seen bedded down on streets on one night when the count takes place. Many more people sleep in isolated locations, such as private gardens in bushes, on night buses and other places which are excluded from the outreach system...
(1) Published today, the DLUHC have released figures for the autumn 2022 rough sleeping snapshot. This shows a significant increase in the number of people sleeping rough, with 3,069 people estimated to be sleeping rough on a single night (compared to 2,443 in October 2021).
Since #SWEP was activated we have extended capacity across our night shelters. This means we are able to temporarily increase the number of people we can provide emergency accommodation to.
We believe everyone should have access to safe, warm accommodation.

#SWEP is still active in London after lows of -6°C this weekend. Please continue to make @Tell_StreetLink referrals for people you see sleeping outside, or who look like they are preparing to.

It is very common for those struggling with housing to experience depression, stress and/or anxiety. It is also common for existing mental health problems to make it harder to cope with housing insecurity.
Today, on #WorldHomelessDay2022 and #WorldMentalHealthDay2022, we want to highlight the ways in which homelessness and poor mental health overlap.
Housing problems, from vulnerable and insecure housing to living on the streets, can affect people’s mental health in lots of ways.
We are saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll and offer our condolences to the Royal Family and to everyone affected by this news.
We did it! Over £750k raised for music therapy. Massive thanks to everyone for their support and a special shout out to Marshall for their £200k bid for George Michael’s piano. So exciting to know that it will be used by musicians for years to come. On to next year now!
