Received my copy of S (by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst) in the mail today and I am so excited to open it and dive in but I have to do this pesky thing called "work" first. Has anyone else in the #writerscommunity read this yet? I've been obsessed with ergodic lit lately.
So I wrote a thing! It's super short so feel free to read it while you're standing in line, sitting in a waiting room, procrastinating writing, trying to fall asleep, or ...maybe, now?๐

I haven't been around for #5amwritersclub this week, but I am here today! & I brought donuts as penance.
I'm hoping to finish my WIP short story. If not this AM, than later today as I sneak in some writing time whenever I can. Good luck with your writing goals today, everyone!
It's so nice to be back to #5amwritersclub! This morning I have to work extra hard not to write for work during this dedicated time. I have a short story to finish instead.
I hope everyone's Friday morning writing session went/is going well. Happy wording!
Morning #5amwritersclub! Missed yesterday but I'm back to do the writing thing! Hoping to finish a scene in my story this morning and also flesh out a story idea (to write after I finish my current WIP, of course). Good luck, everyone!
Who stayed up too late reading last night? Yup, the same person who got up for #5amwritersclub this morning. Future Me is going to be really mad but Current Me is pretty proud that the alarm actually woke me up.
Good luck this morning! Happy wording, everyone!
@erryn_lee@HeidiCookAuthor I agree. This is what I've heard too. Also that the dialogue itself should be the best way your readers can identify who is talking.
Morning #5AMWritersClub! Yesterday I had some trouble getting words down, but I think I plotted through some problems last night. My goal this AM is to fix up the first scene (for submission to both critique groups) & then write as much as I can.
Today's #5amwritersclub will be taking place on the road with a notebook as Husbando and I grab some coffee and look for a spot to write as the sun rises.
