Family members & friends often ask how the care recipient is doing but they don’t always think to ask how the caregiver is doing. Caregivers told us that a simple phone call can make a big difference. If you know a caregiver, give them a call on November 13, for Kindness Day.
All #caregivers deserve this! If you know someone who could use a surprise little pick me up, consider nominating them for @CaregiverON ‘s new Undercover Kindness Project! 🤫
We've been working on something new and slightly under the radar... our new Undercover Kindness Project. #caregivers

This Paramedic Services Week we recognize and thank paramedics for their vital work in our healthcare system through successive waves of COVID-19. This year’s theme “The Faces of Paramedicine” highlights, paramedics do much more than transport patients during a health emergency.
The OCO is dedicated to empowering and strengthening the caregiving community for more understanding & has the necessary support for caregivers to thrive. Happy #NationalCaregiverDay#supportacaregiver

November 13 is #KindnessDay. The goal of OCO's Kindness Campaign is to encourage people to reach out to a caregiver so they feel less isolated and alone. It all starts with a phone call or a knock on the door.
While I ❤️ the amplification of women, this is my status quo. For #IWD2021, be active & drive change:
1. Hire her.
2. Invite her to speak.
3. Give her funding.
4. Introduce her to your network.
5. Talk about her when she’s not there.
Elevate her & everyone wins.
It warms my heart to know Cathy's legacy will live on in this way. Supporting students who are committed to pushing boundaries in patient & caregiver engagement: it's a important way to make this work live on forever.
If you value this work, please consider contributing.
Cathy was an incredible person. She knew the health system from every angle, and worked so hard to make it better. I love that we are going to train a new generation to follow in her footsteps.
It's with deep sadness we announce the tragic passing of Cathy Fooks, our Patient Ombudsman. We are sharing a message approved by Cathy's family https://t.co/kdI76bYkSx
