@Chopper_Rebel Congratulations!

[Katholiek Nieuwsblad @KNieuwsblad]

@heisveryhappy @ClarkMyWords @Remnicore_ You're right, they did have five seasons planned.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@ALITUBE06546534 @FivesWalker I would have guessed one of them was Jesse Plemons, because there were rumors that he was eyed for this film. But he has never won an Oscar, so it can't be him.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@anabelle_dawn After Grogu's return further undoing the S2 finale by Din giving up the Darksaber, Din going back to the cult, Gideon being deeply unserious instead of menacing, some random episodes, teasing the Mythosaur without doing anything with it when Grogu's calming animals left and right

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@thrawnschimera @ahzoeka She met all three of their dads: Kanan, Din and Jabba (both in his slug and his human form, iykyk).

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte That doesn't mean I'm not disappointed that you insist I lack some kind of understanding/literacy because I don't share your vision. I could accuse you of the same, btw. 'hunting Imps' is Mando's objective, not his character arc. So I think we aren't getting anywhere with this.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte While I think it helps in a discussion (or whatever this is) to make you sure you don't make mistakes like this, you're right. It was petty of me and you're cleary passionate about Star Wars. So am I, so it's sad that there's seems to be such a divide in how we look at things.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte I would have liked to end this discussion on a polite note, but your insistence on claiming that I don't understand something only because I disagree with you urges me to point out that you must be not that big of a fan if you call her Ashoka (not Ahsoka) not once, but twice.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte And btw, I don't need a 101 on Zeb. I know the character, I know Rebels, etc. So you insinuating I don't get Star Wars rubbed me the wrong way.

Like I said, The Mandalorian and Grogu is an enjoyable watch. But that doesn't mean the story and its characters are paper thin.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte I applaud your effort, but all of this doesn't have anything to do with the plot. What's more, it paints Zeb more as a cut-out than as a character.

And saying Zeb helps connect this film with the larger universe and Ahsoka (in which he hasn't appeared yet) is simply untrue.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte Ok, enlighten me then. How was Zeb essential to the plot of the film and how would the story change if, let's say, Carson Teva filled his role?

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte I saw it and had a fun time with it, but Zeb could've been any other New Republic soldier/pilot, Din could've been any other bounty hunter, Grogu could've been any other (small) Force-user. Only Rotta's role in how the plot went couldn't have been filled by another character.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@bestofstarwar If I'm completely honest I would say Season 1, episode 1, up until the reveal at the end.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@sw_holocron An enjoyable movie if you don't think about it too much. Rotta is the highlight. Din should have died, because the refusal to do anything worthwile with him and Grogu is starting to feel insulting. This movie should never have been the return of Star Wars in cinemas.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@TheWatchManOfT1 @SpotofNerd @ManaByte Zeb had no impact on the plot and his role could've been filled by almost everyone. To be for real, only Rotta was essential to the plot.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@DZagufarov @YungJunko Samuel Sterns/The Leader, played by Tim Blake Nelson.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@dj__dj__dj__ @Jaliljamess @EckhartsLadder The Razor Crest is on Nevarro when Mando gets abducted. Grogu and his little friends leave in the little starship. The Razor Crest stays behind, but is on Adelphi on the end of the movie. Din, Grogu nor the Anzellans could have brought it there.

[jochemwijma @jochemwijma2]

@donovanmartin5 @TSoS_ No, they're not. There's almost nobody in this movie who hasn't already been shown in the trailers, aside from some expected cameo's.

If I would be at my most cynical, I could've written the review quoted. They're right, but the movie is kinda fun for what it is.
