@TheWapplehouse Your take is correct here but also re: the song, I think it depends on how one defines ‘patriotism’ though. Like, it’s obviously not nationalist/jingoist/‘America Fuck Yeah’ but I think it still shows deep love of one’s home, empathy for the people, protest is patriotic, etc.
