@RobTeeVee Something was lost in the Blaz interview about his match against Xiaohai yesterday. He said “I don’t think he can beat me again” and did his signature cheeky laugh/smile. That was pretty sick but the translator missed it. Would have loved to see your reaction to that.
@LumaTouch@grownuppixels Oh we know! We know you’re not taking any more beta testers... hence the begging. This is our souls we’re talking about here 🥺😔🙏🏼
@LumaTouch@grownuppixels A few weeks?? Oh man, that is hard to swallow. I feel like a small part of my soul just died inside me 😭😭😭
Can I sign up for the beta? Please? I don’t mean to be helpful hehe 😜; I just want a jolt to resuscitate that part of my soul that died.
Please? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@gruber Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I love you man, thank you!!!!! Every cell in my body screams in agony every time I see the word iPhone or iPad without the required “the” that should precede them.
@antopettit@reckless And I’m with you there... but the racist remarks were only some of the replies... sadly, the world with live in also contains racism and you’re bound to come across it here and there.
But the overwhelming majority of replies were legitimately pointing out why the video was bad.
@antopettit@reckless@TheVerge The fact that Nilay states the video had only minor flaws implies the main reason for all the criticism is that people are racist f*cks and are attackng the host because he’s black.
This is the Matrix-like reality that people live in when they view EVERYTHING via a racism lens.
@antopettit@reckless The thing is: they made a terrible video. An overwhelming # of people criticized it. Amongst the criticism were some racist attacks.
@TheVerge sees is as: We made a great video w minor flaws. An overwhelming # of racist attacks ensued. Amongst the attcks was also some criticism.
@reckless The errors in the video were NOT MINOR.
Also, was the targeted harassment campaign private? I read some of the YouTube comments before they were disabled and I also read quite a lot of the twitter comments. I saw no such harassment. I saw legitimate criticism ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@gruber It’s unfortunate people are unable to see that while today YouTube is banning something they agree should be banned, tomorrow the opposite will be true.
@gruber Pornography and “How to Assemble a Firearm” are on very different leagues. While the vast majority of people would agree that pornography shouldn’t be easily available on YouTube or the App Store, I posit “How to Assemble a Firearm” has more of a 50/50 opinion split.
