For the second year running, Fenners have been named the Family Law Team of the Year at the Cambridge Law Society Excellence Awards🍾 It has been a particularly challenging year for everyone involved in working with families - we share this with you all.
After many months of uncertainty for all, it is nice to be able to share some good news! Enormous thanks and all positive words go to our fantastic Clerking team, without whom our work would not be possible.
We are thrilled to announce that Cambridge Law Society awarded us Family Law Team of the Year at their annual Excellence Awards! Laura Cooke gratefully accepted on behalf of us all. We look forward to celebrating together soon 🥂
At last, we find ourselves one pivotal step closer to #nofaultdivorce and a law fit for the 21st Century. My sincerest thanks go to @ResFamilyLaw and so many others who have worked tirelessly on this.
Today, we bid farewell to HHJ Yelton as he moves into a much deserved retirement. He was a founder member of Fenners and a highly respected member of the Bar and the Judiciary. His contribution will long be remembered. We wish him well 🍾
Pleased to know that these uncertain times won't stop @AngliaLawSchool's Law Clinic from offering free family law advice. Good luck to @lawclinicsarah and the team as we all transition to remote working!
Government guidance confirms that, unless your household is isolating, children from separated parent households can still move between parents’ homes. https://t.co/pA4geCmMqa
It's not quite 'business as normal', but counsel at @fennerschambers are up and running with hearings and conferences taking place by telephone and video.
