Owner of Bee Green Development LTD ๐๐๐ BeeKeeper and Greenspace Designer for companies wanting to bring back bio diversity and cut their carbon footprint ๐ฃ
When I set up my business last year it was because I was sick of seeing companies offering beekeeping to businesses with no regard for conservation, bio diversity or the bees themselves and also charging businesses ridiculous amounts of money without even going to sites and recruiting beekeepers of Facebook and have them assess sites with no qualifications at all. With my company I wanted this to change, when deciding if a site is suitable I visit all sites and then I see what is on site that would sustain honeybees. I also look at ariel views of the area, what other beekeepers are in the area and how many hives they have and if it would be sustainable not just for honeybees but all wildlife. I also advise businesses and design greenspaces to help them bring back bio diversity for all wildlife which I am absolutely passionate about, I have a diploma in conservation and this is the main aim of my company. Although I am passionate about beekeeping and these wonderful pollinators, honeybees are not in decline but native wild bees are and companies irresponsibly putting honeybees to just make money is doing more harm than good as they out compete wild bees. For me this is not for the money, I will never be a millionaire, I have already turned down 3 sites this year. I want to change what other companies are doing and do it in a responsible way that wont damage existing wildlife which is already on the brink of collapse in the UK.

I have loads of seedlings on the window sills in the house, the weather has been so rubbish. I'm working for another bee company now as head of operations and Principle beekeeper so I'm just absolutely run of my feet at the min. I'm down at Royal Ascot this weekend, doing a bee stall at their family fun day xx
Lovely day checking the bees on Siemens today, it actually feels like spring is in the air with the sun eventually making an appearance. They are bringing in lots of lovely orange pollen and starting to replenish their stores. I'm very happy I have not lost a single hive this winter ๐๐๐๐
She wasn't allowed to with it being a council owned property. The council thought they would just leave like bumblebees, they contacted me last year and told them honeybees don't just leave and would need cut out. I wouldn't do it at the height of summer as there could of been up to 50k bees in there, so agreed to cut it out just as spring was starting and colony numbers would be low. I did do one last summer that was accidentally uncovered that had been there 10 years ๐ณ it was huge and the bees were so aggressive
My first bee cut out of the year on behalf of Gateshead Council. These little ladies had been living in the ladies ceiling for around 4 years, and when the summer comes, the post man refuses to deliver her mail. All safe on my allotment in a brand new hive ๐๐๐
