Extension Associate for Cornell University NWNY team with a focus on field crops, forages, nutrient management, precision ag technology/data, and soil health.
⚠️LOOKING FOR FARM PARTICIPANTS!⚠️
What are the nitrogen and yield benefits of #manure? Can I save on #fertilizer dollars by using manure? Be part of our #OnFarmResearch "Value of Manure" project and find out! More information at: 👇🏽 https://t.co/aMTGGg4MhV
Six programs in the @CornellAnSci department host interns in fields ranging from #PrecisionAg to crop consulting. Interns share their work with peers, grad students, faculty, and professionals at the annual poster session last August. https://t.co/QyXkrU3nx5
Great organization and team work between @CornellNMSP and farmer in western New York to get this large research plot harvested successfully! @JuanCarlos_2343
Really seeing some visual height differences with these N& K fertilizer rate trials on BMR Male Sterile Sorghum in western New York! @CornellNMSP@QKetterings@CornellCALS
Soil- and field-specific yield potentials for #soybean are helpful in crop management and resource allocation (e.g. fertilizer and manure). 📈Read our latest article showing the summary of soybean yield data shared by farmers in Western and Central NY 👇🏽https://t.co/9jxKW8W8WZ
Can you spot the manure and the no-manure strips? 💩🌽 Glad to see corn growing well in one of our Value of Manure plots.
When a field reaches the V4-V6 stage, we collect soil samples to understand how manure impacts nitrogen availability and general soil fertility.

Corn herbicide trial comparing weed control programs with & without atrazine in NNY. At this location, 35 days after PRE was applied, excellent control with no difference between any of the treatments. Atrazine rates 0, .625, 1.0, 1.375 lb a.i./A
Although there was dry weather conditions for 3 weeks after planting, some PRE herbicides are still showing pretty good activity on Glyphosate-resistant #waterhemp in #E3 soybeans in central NY. Pic 1 = NT; Pic 2 = PantherPro, Pic 3= Boundry. @fieldcrops_org@CornellCALS
Compaction can seriously impact #CropProduction. A new project funded by NNYADP and @NYFarmViability led by Kitty O'Neil of @ccecornell brings together NMSP with Central, Western, and Northern NY CCE programs to collect soil compaction info at different yield stability zones.
