It was great to meet @lynne_neagle yesterday. Demonstrating the hard work the Substance Misuse teams have been doing. It was lovely to also update on the success of Buvidal, Cooccuring and the strong partnership working especially the support of the APB.
What better way to mark the start of Learning Disability Week than with this lovely makaton performance of Here Comes The Sun by the #Conwy Makaton Choir and our learning disability staff. #LearningDisabilityWeek
@ArfonJ @mblakebrough62@Kaleidoscope68 @WeAreBarod @Tommy_HR_NPT BCU have recently featured a piece, we have great success and the stories keep on coming. I would welcome the chance to discuss what Substance Misuse are doing with Buvidal and lives that are changing as a result.
@BrianwDolan Absolutely!!I was told not to go for diploma as it would stand against me amongst peers! Now I'm a Community Service Manager RGN 13 years after qualifying, trying to do the best for patients in addiction! After being told I wouldn't get into uni at 6th form! Dont give up! ๐
For those who've had a terrible week, where you've unjustly had dreams stolen by those who judge school grades not the person, don't give up. Please don't give up.
It was crushing being rejected again and again when all I wanted was a chance. So glad I stuck it out

I walked into St Mary's School of Nursing, Paddington @ImperialNHS while on a holiday in London. Met tutor, asked for advice and she said apply. Later, flew to UK from Ireland for 1 day, did interview and was offered a place. Started in Sept and have never looked back.
I barely scraped into psych nursing with my school grades. Ended up coming 2nd in the province in finals.
Later wrote to >400 schools of nursing listed in a book to do post-reg general nursing. All replied saying I didn't have the school grades & Irish nursing quals didn't count
I dislike the term 'frontline' as it unintentionally infers there's a 'backline' that doesn't matter as much.
When the media uses the shorthand 'doctors and nurses', let's remember it takes a village - incl our primary, community and social care colleagues who are so crucial too
@1GlanMorfa @UrddConwy Not the best picture, but 3rd in their heat! 12th over all, with 6 seconds knocked off their time! Cerys came 2nd in the breast stroke ๐ฅ! They all did amazing!!
My husband needed to use ED today in #ysbytyglanclwyd - resulting in surgery on a badly broken arm. I could not fault any part of his (our treatment) today. Made me proud to be in the NHS. ED staff, orthopedics & theatre staff were amazing! @Jackieanne77#EDYGC
