Haven’t talk much about it but a book I’m two years into researching is the 1936 crash of American Airlines Flight 1 in #Arkansas. It remains the state’s deadliest crash with evidence emerging a passenger may have intentionally brought it down #writerslife#WritingCommunity
@chuckskribbles When the Wall Street Journal includes self-published books as a part of their book reviews, that shows me that self-publishing has arrived.
“Harvest of Death: The Battle of Jenkins’ Ferry, Arkansas” is a detailed battlefield study of one of the bloodiest battles in #Arkansas history. The 300+ page book includes many never before published images of the men who fought there. https://t.co/J4U5RmFcap
Through never before published photos & stories, Elvis in Arkansas is the story of those pivotal 1954-55 years. It’s 300+ pages of the raw Elvis performing in gyms & honky tonks across #Arkansas#ElvisPresley@ElvisPresley

@AdrianHavelock Elvis in Arkansas, through never before published photographs and stories, traces Presley’s earliest career through shows in high school gyms and honky tonks across more than thirty Arkansas cities in that pivotal 1954-55 period.

Watched a segment on @CNN on attempts in Texas to ban books from school libraries. Takes me back to that scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade to that monster’s rally where bonfires of book burnings were occurring. Thought we were better than this #FReadom#writerslife
Stopped off at Jenkins’ Ferry State Park this morning, scene of one of the largest #CivilWar battles in the Trans-Mississippi. My new book “The 1864 Camden Expedition” explores the bloodiest spring in #Arkansas#History#writerslife#Writer#writers
The #NWS has commenced damage surveys from Friday's #tornadoes This storm came within a stone's throw of Diaz, #Arkansas - boyhood home of Johnny #Cash
So much devastation across my home state of #Arkansas last night. One of the hardest hit areas was the small town of Leachville. I recall visiting the town while writing my book "Elvis in Arkansas." #Elvis played the high school gym there in January 1955. My prayers to them all.
@NWY503 There is a Civil War Symposium scheduled for April 30, 2022 at the Grant County Museum in Sheridan, Arkansas. I would like to see Volume I pushed out by then. Volume II should be fall 2022. She's working through about a thousand pages - lots to go through.
Recently visited Ulysses #Grant farm near St. Louis. Much more consolatory toward #Arkansas and the south in comparison to the Radical #Republicans. He is mentioned through my new book on the 1864 Camden Expedition.
