Back by popular demand, my 2019 interview with @DavidDeutschOxf about Brexit, the British political system and Karl Popper. (Thanks @Conjecturist for asking.)
@DavidDeutschOxf Up to October 7, then? Seems odd to end on 9/11 as the moment "the world changed". It changed again in 2023! Appreciate that everything since is still "fog of war".
@HausdorffMedia Piers Morgan: "If we don't allow international journalists into Gaza, we can't know what's happening!"
Also Piers Morgan: "I believe Hamas."

@DanLeBretonPhD @sbkaufman@JonHaidt Tweets are too short! If "a fair distribution of resources" is the goal of your truth-seeking institution, that institution will be blind to any truths that might undermine that goal. "Morality binds and blinds" says @JonHaidt. That's bad for truth-seeking.
@DanLeBretonPhD @sbkaufman@JonHaidt It's not intrinsically valuable. But the trouble is that different actors value truth for different reasons. I hear you talking about justice as "the distribution of resources". An institution with that goal won't ever find evidence that "distribution" is sometimes bad.
