About a month ago, we launched our Pear v2 beta release, marking a major step forward for our platform. Since that launch, we’ve rolled out quite a few quality-of-life improvements designed to make trading perps safer and smoother than ever, and our stats have consistently backed that up.

This week, we encountered the first major issue since the v2 beta launch. Due to our rapid momentum and user growth, our backend experienced a surge in requests and trades, pushing our infrastructure beyond its current limits. In other words, a good problem to have.

We moved quickly to address the issue, and it took us only a short amount of time to get most of the platform back up and running. At the same time, we’re strengthening our architecture to ensure it can comfortably handle even higher usage moving forward. This is an ongoing process.

Meanwhile, features like basket trading continue to prove invaluable, helping traders both spread risk and even boost profits.

Pear Protocol has fought tooth and nail to earn its place in the HL ecosystem, supported by hard work and pure statistics. We’re proud to still maintain one of the highest win rates for perps anywhere.

And it’s not just Pear, Agent Pear has been thriving in this market, validating our continued investment and vision for the broader ecosystem.

Finally got around to setting up @pear_protocol and its quite useful in this market environment

tl;dr -- Pear is a pair-trading app built on Hyperliquid (via builder codes), so you can use your HL account directly and get to farm @HyperliquidX + @unitxyz. Rewards pay out in HYPE, which is a nice bonus. Awesome product by @hufhaus9

The real value is being able to bet on relative strength instead of raw direction. Stuff like:
- long XYZ100 / short BTC
- long SOL / short ETH
- long majors / short high fdv/junk memes
etc

Makes it way easier to stay positioned without chopping your port

Low daily user count (50-60) and a solid pool of HYPE rewards (6k) for season 2 which kicked off recently, so solid time to hop in.

I'm gonna play around with it more, but some initial thoughts:
- Very clean UI, which makes it easy to navigate. Yes, you can put on some of these pair trades manually, but it can be tedious if one of the legs is a basket
- The builder code fee is quite high at 6 bps, which I would like to see come down some (but understand given the lower volume on the platform)
