If Trump, a billionaire playboy who won the presidency 3 times wants to be successful, he needs to start listening to me, a guy who has failed at everything I’ve ever attempted, except for getting 40k followers on Twitter. I think my track record speaks for itself. For example, here’s a very original thought that I know you’ve never considered: why was Biden able to let millions of people flood into the country in 4 years but we can’t get the same amount out in the same time period. See, that is the kind of important question that I bring to the discourse. It’s important in times of crisis to be extremely emotional and demoralizing, not that I’m doing that and I actually hate when people say that. I’m offering genuine, good faith criticism of the administration, such as, Trump has betrayed us because Benjamin Netanyahu has an HD video of him eating a babies skull. I don’t personally say that, of course, I only openly and positively associate with people who do, which is different. It’s connections to people who hate us and want us to lose that makes me such a valuable asset, especially when the stakes are high and the margin of error is slim. We cannot afford to lose the midterms, which I will remind you don’t matter and both sides have sold you out. No matter how you vote, you get the same outcome, but also, I’m not encouraging you to stay home, and in fact if the Democrats get into power the country is over because they will grant citizenship to every single illegal, which is something I just lied about yesterday by saying the Trump administration is doing this. Sometimes it’s good to lie because the left lies all the time and service of their agenda. The difference is when I’m lying, it’s only about stuff that hurts the right instead of helps, which makes it principled somehow. At the very least, it demonstrates how much more based I am which has always been my most guiding principle: Having cool head ideas and lying to demonstrate how much more based I am than what we’re getting. This is how we win, and if we do win, I will be there to take victory lap for my brave sacrifice of posting online, and if we lose, well I told you so. You should’ve listened to me.

I would be careful with this. I think the lab leak part of this story is mostly a red herring, plausible and worth investigating, but not the main crime and if it becomes the primary target for punitive retribution, these guys are going to skate.

If you are genuinely interested in evaluating all of the evidence around the lab leak, you really should go watch the Rootclaim debate. All of the evidence points to the wet market cluster of cases being the first, and what Fauci is talking about in this letter (dated January of '20) was a few dozen suspicious pneumonia cases that pre-dated the wet market (and are presumed to be from WIV), but that turned out upon sample testing in April of 2020 to not be COVID at all.

There was always enough circumstantial evidence to press really hard on the lab leak theory, made doubly compelling by the efforts to suppress and punish anyone speculating in this regard, and even more compelling by the brazen dishonesty of the Chinese/Fauci/WHO, but the evidence mostly points elsewhere and unless there is some dispositive and unambiguous admission or new facts that come out, this will remain uncertain at best, and perhaps just flatly wrong.

In any case, what we do know is that these people lied repeatedly about transmission and treatment, and corrupted the public trust to achieve short-term political outcomes having nothing at all to do with the virus, and effectively put the country on mass lockdown in the most egregious abuse of state power seen in our lifetimes. That is the real crime. That is the unforgivable sin of the public health bureaucracy that ought to be the focus of our attention.

My review of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”

Entertainment: 8/10
Rewatchability: 2/10

Educational: 0/10

The movie did not show many key things in the book and then inserted many dumb things like this Sinon character. People will complain about that as well as the costumes, lack of gods, and much more — but I had my eye out for the educational value of this film in so far as it communicates to the audience something about the vital essence of the Greek cultural ideal. Even a small hint or glimpse of this ideal would have been a monumental achievement.

Unfortunately on this most important front, the film fails. Giving Odysseus a bad conscience about his role in the destruction of Troy fundamentally ruins the educational value of the film.
