The SRC has deliberately and wickedly so, misadvised the Ministry of Health. Good thing is that the advice doesn’t in any way alter what is already binding in the 2017-2021 CBA.
My advice to doctors: Stick to the CBA.
The Lord’s work was already done and dusted.
Saying that sole proprietorship to be deducted housing levy, in addition to withholding tax for every invoice/product/service they sell is a crazy idea. That will not be "taxing" but choking and killing businesses. Let them stick to payslips as it had been planned please.
I have said several times that whoever designed the Kenyan roads did so not with commuters in mind but for the transportation of cargo.
Kenyan roads are death traps.
They are highways to nowhere… driving on Kenyan roads at night is like searching for a black cat in a dark room painted black.
State of Qatar owns Al Jazeera .. Qatar is one of the richest countries in the world. It hosts US biggest foreign military base. Why then has Qatar stood helplessly as Israel kept killing its Al Jazeera journalists & their families? With its insane wealth & military strategic value, why has Qatar failed to ever leverage its power? Why do Muslim Countries cower to Israel? Do they fear Israel so much? How can a country be so rich yet so weak like Qatar?
Any meeting the President holds in a public space is a PUBLIC meeting open for all Kenyan citizens and residents to attend and participate in PEACEABLY as GUARANTEED under the Constitution. Such participation INCLUDES, but is not limited to, HECKLING, which is PROTECTED SPEECH in a constitutional democracy.
Oya Chief, @WilliamsRuto. If this is the same God who has allowed you to starve Kenyans so you could buy a crocodile belt and a python jacket worth millions of shillings, then we will gladly ask that we be taken to hell. We're tired of your threats, please finish and leave.
POLITICS ASIDE: Three and half weeks ago, I rode in a friend's car to his rural home in Murang'a. The mission was to have me look at his dairy farm and learn some lessons on how he manages his dairy cows for productivity. It was a good experience in Kahuhia. Marque, I am also a dairy farmer, although not on a large scale, hoping that I, God Willing, will soon be there. After picking many lessons that I intended to share with my farm workers back in the countryside, tea was served with githeri. It was 'short' tea a sign of quality milk from his animals which he really takes good care of. After the tour of the farm, we hit the road towards Murang'a town. I learned that we were in Kiharu Constituency which is represented in the National Assembly by the Hon. @NdindiNyoro. Mr. Maina showed me a youth empowerment project which was initiated by Mr. Nyoro and he told me that it generates revenue for the young population and that this has helped in the reduction in cases of alcohol consumption in the area. "It keeps the youth busy", he said.
We stopped at a popular Nyama Choma joint in the heart of Murang'a town. Here, we found many people eating 'nyam chom'. It was lunchtime. "Have a drink Philip", Maina said. I requested black masala tea. "Bwana you don't drink beer, how can you come to my hood and you just drink tea", he remarked. "I don't drink alcohol bro", I said. "Yea, I had forgotten", he said as he laughed.
After our lunch, it was time to hit the road back to the Green City in the Sun, but not before he showed me another project for the women. This too he said was an initiative of Hon. Nyoro. He told me that the objective was to have the women of Kiharu be self-reliant and empower themselves economically to avoid depending on politicians for hand-outs. I was impressed by what I saw. In fact, this was just a by-the-way, not the mission that took me to Murang'a.
Maina has twenty dairy cows that he says give him value for his money. But even as I equipped myself with the knowledge, especially after one of my new calves (Fleckvieh breed) died mysteriously a week before earlier prompting me to seek advice from my friend, I learned that political goodwill from elected leaders can help spur development in their respective areas.
We passed through Mbiri where he went to pick up his friend who had requested a lift to Nairobi. On the way back, I bought fresh fruits from the farm, arrow roots, sweet potatoes, and fresh vegetables.
Hon. Nyoro and I may be two worlds apart politically, but his idea of youth and women empowerment made me like what he does for his people. In fact, I was told that due to the many income-generating projects he has initiated, the culture of handouts has become alien in Kiharu, something that other leaders need to pick from him.
How can we end the culture of handouts in Kenya? This is a big lesson.
Heckling, shouting, whistling, wailing and booing of a PRESIDENT is a fundamental freedom protected under Art.33 of our Constitution. The Constitution does not provide on how one can EXPRESS himself...to that extent,I will DEFEND pro bono whoever will be prosecuted for doing that.
The news from Haiti is troubling. The imposter, PM, #ArielHenry, who visited Kenya and "signed" a bogus agreement with our President @WilliamsRuto, is now a persona non grata in a country he claims to lead. He has not been allowed back home by the militias in Haiti. The USA has recalled its citizens from Haiti. Canada has closed its embassy in Haiti and recalled its citizens. The violence in Haiti is worsening. Only Kenya is ready to send its policemen to Haiti. No one knows what Kenya is getting out of this move, and no one knows how it was negotiated. What does the agreement entail? This is truly puzzling.
Before Zakayo sends our police to HAITI to be BARBECUED by Barbecue, I propose that he first visits HAITI to find out whether his friend the prime minister landed safely and to also persuade Barbecue not to MARINATE our police. As many as are of similar opinion say YES...
Good morning watu wa BOTTOM-UP...watu wa tùgokìra teene ham jambo...watu wa hatupangwingwi mko vipi...watu wa boda boda semeni petrol @ 217/=...watu wa biashara semeni dollar @ 150...haha hustlers UJEURI yenu inawaramba.
Governor Wavinya Ndeti has warned Ruto that Kambas have many ways of avenging their demolished property. Although she did not say which ways those are, Anthropology experts have said it won't be long before Ruto starts walking with swollen legs and a sprouting tail.

HAMAS, a Palestinian Resistance Movement is considered a terrorist movement for its Israel nihilist ideology … And Israel wants to make sure it ain’t part of any future Palestinian Government … OTZMA YEHUDIT is an extremist Jewish Party that doesn’t recognize Palestinians or Arabs as a people & seeks elimination of all Palestinians .. Its leader Itamar Ben-Gvir, is Israel Minister for Security! Both Hamas & Otzma Yehudit espouse similar Holocaust ideology against the other group of people: Europe & US recognizes one as a terrorist organization & the other as legitimate Part of Government … Middle East, Russia, China & entire Global South recognizes one as a liberation movement & the other as part of an occupying Apartheid Government …. If only the World can have a common position!
Whoever thought they were DEMOTING @HonMoses_Kuria should be in for a great shock. They had better revise their strategy before Kuria takes over half the government. He has a very liberal interpretation of the reaches of his docket.
