I had a similar experience 😂

After using AI quite extensively, and enjoying it, I stumbled across some hardcore AI sentiment on IG/TT

Some genuine environmental concern, but some absolutely bizarre and laughable takes.

I’m talking hardcore woke leftie types demanding everyone boycott AI, going full alarmism mode, and that it will destroy all of humanity as we know it.

It feels like living in the Luddite era with folk burning down sewing machine factories.

I think there are some interesting developments in BSV, and am curious to see where it goes.

The marketing has been absolutely disastrous, though, and has spectacularly backfired.

Trying to constantly push “Creg is Satoshi” and “BSV is the real Bitcoin” has thoroughly been rejected by the market.

Further, this rhetoric has only caused divide - even you are asking me to pick a side like it’s WWII.

BSV is better off rebranding, disassociating from Bitcoin (which means something entirely different today anyway), and letting the tech talk for itself.

Who gives a shit about a name or a ticker anyway?

The key points Arthur Laffer was making is that high tax rates can backfire by reducing government revenues, and vice versa, cutting tax rates can increase government revenues through increasing economic activity.

As example, Australian Tobacco taxes (#1 highest in the world) is a textbook example of high tax rates backfiring:

~80% of tobacco sales are now black market consumption (no tax).

From the transcripts, the 2 points on Phil Wilson seem to be that:

(a) it’s interesting that Creg addressed Phil as Scronty and not Phil.

(b) that none of them have their story straight, and “you don’t get a crowd this strange around what is ultimately a completely empty space. At least not in my experience”.

The points are bundled in with Ian Grigg saying it was a team, craig flip flopping on a team / solo effort.

Imo, Phil is a time waster and Creg had a more obvious reason to purport that he did it solo rather than in a team with Dave Kleiman, as he was being sued by Ira and wanted to minimise Dave’s involvement.
