@49ersSportsTalk A year ago this would have been an interesting question. Now the Niners would be absolute fools if they said no. Put aside the emotional pull for Brock and think logically. Rookie QB allows more delay on the cap hit and a longer SB window. Or trade the pick for a king’s ransom.

@grantcohn Or it’s because of the fact that if Shanahan is canned, there’s a 90 to 95% chance they’ll get someone of the Kelly/ Tomsula caliber. Very few NFL coaches “hit.” Harbaugh and Shanahan are exceptions to the rule.
