Content is the foundation of any website or digital product. That’s why it’s critical to ensure it’s #Perceivable according to the #WCAG 2.2 guideline. This means content must be presented in a way that users can understand and interact with it. #AccessibilityMatters#WebDesign
📻🗣️🎙️ This is my first audio essay as a nonspeaking person for @KQED's Perspectives series. It's a commentary on voice, communication access, and care.

@driscollis@TeachMePy First, @driscollis is an awesome guy! <-- unapologetic kiss-up!
Second, I would love to have a definitive source to become a Python guru! I have tried a few YouTubers but I forget or cannot apply what they teach almost immediately after watching the videos.
@statsowar Since you use tables be sure that you use semantic HTML like table headers and row/column declarations. These types of changes will open your site up to many people that may not currently be able to enjoy and use it.
@statsowar If you would like to be a truly accessible site, you could go a step further and describe the image with a better description (e.g., Naval Academy logo showing a capital N with a 5-point star at the top right filled in gold outlined in nave blue).
@statsowar Most of your images on the site including your logo do not have alt text. You should add alt text for each image (e.g., Naval Academy logo) except for decorative images.
@statsowar Your site is awesome! I check it out often during the season. I know you and your team work hard accumulating the data. Accessibility recommendations in thread. Sorry for length.
I have also experienced scrolling just stop in the middle of the window when using my chair joystick via bluetooth. It's a hit and miss on if I'll be able to go all the way to the top or bottom. Very frustrating!
Why are infinite scrolls like messaging chats *still* backwards in apps using #ReactNative? Why can't the percentage value of the scroll just be flipped and the direction reversed for #a11y? Scrolling up to go down is just stupid, and more apps are starting to do it. :(
@DesireeWhite42 When you are marginalized, be it from a disability or otherwise, it is VERY easy to buy in. Some people never self-actualize. So the fact that you are bringing it up and noticing it makes you even more badass!
