DH: "We've done more geotechnical work than 90% of the bridge projects I've been involved with. There is no trail project anywhere that I'm familiar with that has done this amount of geotechnical work. We've run this project into the ground, geotechnically." #cheastyhearing
DH: "Cheasty is an active slope. However, It's shallow due to things like rainwater. All deep seated slope movements in Cheasty have been caused by contractors making deeper digs (beyond 10 feet deep) #cheastyhearing
DH: "We used the geological map, looked at 30ft deep borings, and various other reports like Rainier Vista, and truthed those to the soil in the field. Everyone involved agreed that there was no added benefit to doing more deep geotechnical borings." #cheastyhearing
Ms Nauman questioning environmental experts, "Could there be an issue of sediment coming off the trail down into the wetland?" Answer: The design is to disperse storm water continuously off the trail to keep the natural condition of where water would go. #cheastyhearing
