@AllCristina2 I agree, but I also think the 30th Anniversary had more to prove. Coming off of Sonic Forces and TSR, they really needed some cool stuff to energise the series.
This 35th is coming off of much more successful games and films, so they can get away with showing less new stuff.

@naranciagaming@NINtendo_maya I think the additions DC made definitely made the game less grounded and serious during gameplay. But it also made certain aspects like combat a little more fun?
Also helped gear up for the sequel which went goofier for the sake of more engaging gameplay imo.
