@Mariners finally admit Refsnyder didn’t live up to expectations, let’s hope Taylor Ward will deliver although it’s likely too late to salvage a disappointing season
Rob Refsnyder is already redeeming Jerry Dipoto's controversial Mariners trade take https://t.co/Vi7MjZXok4
I am a J6er.
The tragedy of January 6th wasn’t the broken windows.
It was the 1,600 Americans hunted, caged, and destroyed for protesting a stolen election.
It was fathers torn from their kids.
Mothers sentenced for walking through open doors.
Veterans locked in solitary.
Businesses wiped out.
Marriages destroyed.
Men who contemplated suicide because the government decided their voices were the real crime.
I spent 22 minutes inside. No violence. No destruction. Just a dad in a Count ALL Legal Votes” shirt who refused to stay silent.
For that they took my freedom, my family, my livelihood, and tried to take my mind.
Cities burned for months in 2020 and the same people who called it a “summer of love” called us terrorists.
That is the tragedy.
Not the day itself.
What they did to the people who showed up and walked thru open doors.
God Bless the J6ers.
So let’s get this straight:
- Tigers called the Dodgers, wanted to get a deal done immediately
- Rays weren’t even given a chance, Tigers didn’t care for their prospects
- Made the price for Milwaukee much higher than for the Dodgers
Something is fishy… way too fishy.
@Ken_Rosenthal I agree that a lofty payroll doesn’t guarantee a championship. The Dodgers team revenue is >2X the Brewers or Rays but you failed to mention that. It will inevitably impact behavior.
NEW: ESPN praises Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve for her trans shirt, which was an apparent jab at Sophie Cunningham who said women should be protected from men in their sports.
What a total mess the WNBA is.
They spent years demanding they get respect and now that they have more attention, you have head coaches advocating for men in their sport.
The Diamondbacks spend 65% of their revenue on payroll.
The Dodgers spend 60%
The difference is that LA has an $850 million dollar revenue and AZ is $325 million. LA gets nearly the entire annual revenue of AZ just in their TV contract.
This was a long-overdue moment on CNN.
RFK Jr. called out the network on air for helping to silence dissent during COVID.
Dana Bash was getting visibly irritated, after she repeatedly tried to move the conversation away from censorship.
Then he aimed his fire at Dana Bash directly: “Of course you want to move on because you were part of the problem!”
KENNEDY: “We need to protect our constitutional rights. That is the primary obligation in our country.”
BASH: “What does that mean?”
KENNEDY: “Well, during COVID, we completely dismantled our constitutional rights. We began censoring people in violation of the First Amendment.”
BASH: “You’re saying what not to do, I’m asking what to do.”
KENNEDY: “Well, that’s something to do. That is the number one priority: we protect the Constitution.”
BASH: “Forgive me, but you’re talking about rights and I’m asking about a potential public health crisis that is coming. But I do want to… let’s…”
KENNEDY: “And one of the mistakes we made last time was suppressing those rights. So people weren’t being heard. Doctors who were saying, ‘You’re doing it wrong,’ were being marginalized and vilified.”
BASH: “Again, I really want to move on…”
KENNEDY: “Yeah, of course you want to move on because you were part of the problem!”
BASH: “No! I wasn’t part of the problem!”
KENNEDY: “There was absolute press malpractice. Your job is to have a fierce skepticism toward authority, and you weren’t doing that.”
“You were beating up on people who were dissenting!”
@GeeScottSr Um, Gee, the Dodgers payroll is so far in excess of other teams it would take a railroad train filled with avocado toast and lattes to even begin to make a dent in the financial gap…you know better.
A lockout will be harmful for baseball overall but the point here is valid. It feels like the Dodgers are daring the league to do something about the salary disparity in baseball but until then they will feast on building a dynasty.
Tarik Skubal to the Dodgers. At this point, I’m actually looking forward to the lockout. Something has to change. As a fan of a small market team, it’s exhausting watching the rich get richer every single year. Baseball desperately needs a more balanced playing field.
Promoting players from the minors hoping they will hit well right out of the gate is usually fantasy. In the case of the @Mariners look at Cole Young’s performance during the second half last season or Emerson’s current at bats. Trade for a bat please!
The Mariners are continuing to scour the market for a right-handed hitter ahead of Monday’s MLB trade deadline. But they could also soon call up hot-hitting prospect Michael Arroyo.

@Mariners chemistry 101. Replace a poor performing player (Kennedy) with a worse performing player (Refsnyder). 2 negatives equal a positive. @RyanDivish#Mariners#playingchess
@MatteButShiny@spencerpratt Matt. 16:15-16, Jesus asks “who do you say I am?” Simon Peter replies “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God”. Jesus did not come to condemn but to save us from our sins (John 3:17) and give us peace (John 14:27). We pray for peace for the Graham family AND the haters.
How do I know that the climate *crisis* is a scam?
Here are five reasons:
1️⃣ None of the politicians, celebrities, or “scientists” yammering about it have altered their lifestyles by an inch. If they opted to forgo using O&G products, then I’d take them seriously. Actions speak louder than words.
2️⃣ Climate conferences aren’t being held virtually on Zoom using their large meeting extensions. It’s doable, they just choose not to. They like to fly overseas to lecture us about reducing our “carbon footprint” all the while they do nothing to lower their own.
3️⃣ Wealthier alarmists are still living on or buying oceanfront property. If ocean levels were really rising at a catastrophic rate (as opposed to the gradual increase that is actually occurring), then they would move inland and banks would not approve loans.
4️⃣ Alarmists rarely, if ever criticize China and India, and they always come up with all sorts of wonderful excuses as to why those nations get a free pass to continue emitting so-called “carbon pollution.”
5️⃣ The only solutions they offer involve increased governmental power. Higher taxes. EV mandates. Restrictions or bans on the energy sectors they don’t like.
And, as an added bonus, no real-world data proves, much less suggests that we are facing an “existential crisis.” Even the IPCC doesn’t use such rhetoric because it isn’t based on science.
