EXCLUSIVE: A 250-seat, open-air theatre will launch this summer in lavender fields just outside of London, with its inaugural production a staging of musical Annie Get Your Gun (@lavtheatre) https://t.co/pr3zjt8U79
@BishopDelRincon@JacobFisherDF A website was selling them for a while and they looked convincing enough. £70 later and I found out that you are indeed correct and these are legit not for sale. I kind of knew they were a scam but I figured someone was just building them from the published instructions :(
I feel like I complain about this a lot, but why is UK Theatre marketing so TACKY?! These posters are for (essentially) the same production, and yet one exudes prestige, it feels like a truly landmark revival, and the other... looks like a cheap panto?!
Side note: does anyone else remember when they randomly re-branded Half a Sixpence half way through the West End run? To make it more 3D and shiny?? Yeah we all hated that.
I lost my little disposable camera on Thursday 03/20 somewhere between the Mincemeat opening party on 42nd and the East River (but also possibly at @RudysBar). It’s a little black and yellow Kodak camera with many cherished memories on it. If anyone in #NYC sees this/it, pls HMU!
@souchy_boyy What I love about these lists is every single one I read I’m like “correct” 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ because literally every song he ever wrote is worthy of a top ten xoxox

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ POP OFF, MICHELANGELO! at @TheOtherPalace "An hysterically camp, unserious and queer catchy new musical that... well, absolutely pops off! Oozing with joy and infectious energy, it garnered loud laughter after nearly every scene, cheers and rapturous applause after each song" Adventures in Theatreland https://t.co/dzMpoc6rwq @pommusical

Gavin Creel was extraordinarily talented, but he was also extraordinarily kind. When I was 16, I set up a theatre company (a project that set the path for everything else I have ever done in my life since) and Gavin Creel donated to the company to help us get our first show up.
I will also never forget how, years later, I bumped into him in Shubert Alley one morning and he remembered my name(!) and the fact that he had helped support that production of Sweeney Todd. He was truly one in a million. How blessed we were to walk among him.
impossible to put this all into words but I feel like Gavin Creel had a huge impact on a specific generation of theatre kids, who admired him growing up and now work in theatre. I think that’s why it feels inevitable that this loss will hit so hard in our community
