Dana White believes in manifestation. He does not believe in sitting there thinking about it.

Decide who you are, what you want, and get up every day and work toward it. Do that, he says, and you cannot fail. Bartlett pointed out that a lot of people stop at the first part. They make the plan and never start. White agreed. A plan you do not act on takes you nowhere.

Then he changed the target. He knows billionaires who are miserable. Success, for him, is whether you want to get up and whether you love the work. Happiness is a choice, he said. I would not go that far. Some people are stuck for reasons a decision will not fix. The useful part is simpler. Wanting it is not the work. And money is not proof the work was worth it.

Manifestation without work is a wish. Work without a reason is just exhaustion. The old problem was never how to want something. It was whether you would keep doing it once the feeling wore off.
