Ehhhhh, just depends on how you like your ‘hope’ served to you I guess.

One treats hope as the positive evolution of vengeance, giving it an arc of sorts to show how the former is more beneficial than the latter both to ourselves and the world.

The other makes a point from jump to treat hope and empathy as counterculture to the world we currently live in, and how it’s actually radical / punk rock to be kind to one another and have hope for each other in a time known for bringing others down.

I don’t think anyone walked out of The Batman feeling a sense of hope that things will be okay (atleast I didn’t), or learned to love their fellow neighbor. Superman (2025) actually manages to inspire, which is even more great for little kids watching the movie but also I’d argue well grown adults.

I had high expectations for this Isaiah Rashad album, and admittedly, I hold “The House Is Burning” in very high regard compared to most people. So part of me was trying to ground myself so I wasn’t disappointed.

This is still the greatest Batman scene put on screen, capturing everything the character stands for without saying a single word.

A lot of doom and gloom from the fans here, including me over the second half of the season.

But here is my reasonable, honest take.

Most of our guys never played a full NHL season, and every vet will tell you it TAKES TIME to figure out your body over 82 games.

What's worse, this was a condensed 82 games because of the Olympics.

Never played more than about 40 games in a season. Knight was a backup.

Their bodies are not ready and they ran out of steam.

But they all look like they are NHLers.

Also, for all of the Davidson haters out there, for every miss he has, he found two gems.

Nobody gave Greene, Rinzel or Moore much hope to be impact NHL players, but they all look like they belong.

That said, next season all of these excuses fall away. Most of the prospects will be here. Most of them will have a full season in the NHL and in this system. Bedard will have talented linemates.

We might not make the playoffs yet, but we have to be pushing for a spot late in the season.

One more game left.

Keep your heads up boys and girls. We will get through this.
