Poem thread: Realise
Born on Earth, Crafted in Heaven
Clay, gently sculptured.
Lit, with Heaven's Light Perfectly imperfect
Others with others
Others with none
Each a story, Each a discovery
That is where most people stop.
Where comfort has grown thick around them
like warm soil around a sleeping root.
And the dream turns still.
The effort slows.
Stagnant,
not because they did not care
but because they thought
they’d already made it far enough.
They say healing isn't a straight line:
Well, if that’s true, then I’ve been tracing spirals.
Some days I go backward in perfect circles.
Some days I feel like an oily rag in a spinning machine. Round and round, but never clean.

Prostration:
1. the state of lying stretched out on the ground with one's face downwards.
2. extreme physical weakness or emotional exhaustion.
Examples
Religious Prostration:
Muslims perform prostration (sajda) during prayer, touching their forehead to the ground as a sign of respect to Allah
Civil Prostration: In some cultures, prostration, like the Chinese kowtow, was a form of respect paid to rulers or elders.
