If you’re annoyed with the way MLS is trying to monopolize American soccer, one of the best ways you can take action and be a proponent for a better way is support a local lower division club

Below is a map of USL Championship & League one teams, then a map of all USL League Two teams. Some of these are a little out of date with a few new clubs existing and others folding, but do your own research and find the closest one.

For me, USL is the most organized and easiest to jump into, and they’ve voiced interest in a more competitive structure. If that’s what you want, support it.

Volunteer, reach out to the club nearest you, see what you can do to get involved.. or just show up to the game. Twitter activism will only take the game so far. If you’re looking for a practical way to influence things even a tiny bit, this would be the best way, imo.
