Beryl devastated the island, especially the southwestern parishes. Communication is down, houses are destroyed, roads blocked by fallen powerlines, and trees uprooted. My thoughts are with those waiting to hear from family members. We'll get through this together! 💪🏼🤍

@lijitimate it is amazing the amount of persons that do not know that many languages referred to as patois can be creole languages. For instance, Jamaican Patois is indeed a creole language.

So now to make matters worse @FLOWJamaica I’ve been here now encroaching three hours only to be told they don’t have postpaid e-sim. I’m so mad right now. You guys are the worse out of all the telco providers put together. I can’t wait for real competition to come in. Ridiculous.

Historic Tropical Storm Eta has now formed over the central Caribbean Sea, 435 kilometres southeast of Kingston. The Tropical Storm is not a direct threat to Jamaica but will increase rainfall over the island while passing to the south.

The waters of the Caribbean Sea seem set to be troubled again this weekend and through the start of next week as a Tropical Wave moves into conditions favourable for development. Jamaica can expect another round of rainfall increases over the period.
