@GregLehman9@Clint_Davey1 The US position at Yalta was with regard to Russian territories lost in 1905. That did not include Etorofu and the US still recognizes the Japanese claim to the island. A sloppily written, general-interest article does not change historic facts.
@GregLehman9@Clint_Davey1 The US had nothing to do with it and recognizes the Japanese claim. Russia never controlled the islands, despite discovery, at any time prior to 1945. Fundamentally, it was claimed that Russia only occupied lands lost in 1905. Obviously, the claim was false.
@Belowavgutdad Interestingly, the US did purchase 63 Mi-17s (if not the specific type in the video, a related variant) to supply to Afghanistan. Some of those were later transferred to Ukraine.
@BrandonBaimhtt@DoDeportations The heading on the graph is misleading as the numbers are not for mass shootings but rather for mass shootings that were also mass homicides. There is a difference between mass shooting (casualties) events and mass homicide (deaths) events.
