Sadar gak sih kalau kita punya proyek seni paling nekat di dunia? Nyoman Nuarta butuh waktu 28 tahun buat nyelesaiin patung GWK di Bali, yang tingginya (122 meter) resmi ngalahin Patung Liberty di Amerika (93 meter) 😭

Yang bikin proyek ini di luar nalar tuh logistiknya. Patung seberat 3.000 ton ini gak dibuat langsung di Bali, tapi dicor berupa 754 modul panel tembaga di Bandung.

Jadi, ratusan kepingan raksasa itu diangkut pake truk kontainer jalur darat, nyebrang selat, baru dirakit satu-satu kayak Lego di atas bukit kapur Ungasan.

Karena ukurannya yang segede gaban dan posisinya di tebing pantai, desainnya bahkan harus diuji tiupan angin badai di laboratorium kedirgantaraan Kanada sama Australia dulu biar gak roboh ditiup angin laut. Dedikasi gila hampir 30 tahun yang akhirnya lunas.
