The fact that @Athletics don't have comments on to talk and pay tribute to Rickey really is embarrassing. Look, we hate the Sac/Vegas crap but we should be allowed to pay tribute to the man WHO WAS OAKLAND. WHO WAS THE GREATEST PLAYER IN OUR FRANCHISE HISTORY! #Athletics
Maybe I’m just in my feels but… after Warner’s pick six, the Fox broadcast played the broadcast to commercial with “Celebration. It’s possible it was as a tribute to the A’s. 😅😭
Politicians across this entire country killed the Oakland A’s.
John Fisher could have fully funded a stadium in Oakland. But he—and every other owner—feels entitled to hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars. To free money.
Your officials everywhere keep proving them right.
Most teams that leave town go out in a whimper. The Boston Braves slinked away. The second Washington Senators forfeited their game because the few fans that came caused a scene. The Montreal Expos got a decent crowd.
Let the record show that the Oakland A's packed the house.
The A’s deserve better. Oakland’s baseball fans sure as hell deserve better.
Owner John Fisher deserves to eat glass shards every meal, every day to eternity.
Makes me ill.
#RootedInOakland
The Oakland A’s were killed by greed. Do not allow the people responsible for this to spin it any other way. John Fisher did not have to move this team. Major League Baseball and its owners did not need to be complicit in it. This was a choice. A wrong one. History will sneer.
What remains a total mystery is why the other owners in baseball stand by as the A's debacle plays out, and they don't do anything. And the situation will continue to be an embarrassment for them all, as the team moves to a minor-league park. It's mind-boggling.
We got 30,000 in the house tonight, tomorrow we'll have 40,000. And naysayers are trying to tell us this isn't a viable market? Nah, we don't believe that for one second.
@MatthewBerryTMR I was down 105.05 to 83.86 going into the MNF doubleheader.
I needed every bit of that Allen/Kincaid stack, and McLaurin’s tuddy clinched me the W. 🙈😆
Actually it isn’t. It isn’t part of the game at all. The game is to try and win. The A’s actively tanked to maximize revenue while driving fans away in hopes of leaving Oakland.
If this is or becomes part of the game, MLB has a huge problem.
@jemelehill It just might be my fave episode of the entire series. Among other things, Cersei is giving Michael Corleone— settling all family business vibes. Such a note perfect way to end S6.
It’s surreal. I’m trying to think in a neutral space—as in, reserving the tiniest of hope for a miracle, but aware of reality. I’ve been to a couple games the last few weeks, and plan for a couple more—including Sept 26, to soak in as much of the environment as possible.
Oakland fans, we are 20 days away from the last A’s game in Oakland.
I (and others) want to hear from YOU!
How are you feeling about this whole situation as the season winds down?

Let’s put it all out there.
I honestly don't have much of a reaction to the MLB schedule drop. We all knew this was happening. But it is interesting to see how low MLB is willing to go for one bad owner. OAK/SAC/LV are all good baseball markets being dragged through the mud because he simply won't SELL.
