@chris_mac00@Anth_Chatburn@avappleyard There's a bunch of guys whose job it is to keep track of how long shifts are. P/60 is just how much work gets completed per hour. You probably want to know which players get the same (or more) work done in fewer minutes.
As I mention in the news story, we are desperate for alternatives to the 401! Current infra allows for basic service such as 9am, 12pm, 3, 6, 9pm. Need to negotiate with CN. Some weekends would be cancelled for track work.
But let's get this basic service today & build from there
I've been fortunate to speak all over for Do Hard Things.
The question I’ve received most: “What about the David Goggins approach to toughness?"

If you're riding the @GRT_ROW LRT next year, you can thank these @uwaterloo students for not having to wait 30 minutes in the evening!
Amazing work in public & behind the scenes. It was an honour to watch you all present yesterday. You've made a huge impact on @RegionWaterloo
Shorter headways for public transportation reduces stress for commuters.
If you know a train is coming every five minutes, you never need to check the schedule or sprint to the station.
If they come every 30 minutes… missing your train is a big deal!
Less stress = More riders
It’s easy to forget that a lot of evening ridership is people coming home from stuff that started earlier in the day. Slash your evening service & daytime ridership could go down as people opt not to wait 30 min for a train to get then home at the end of the day @RegionWaterloo
One of the craziest findings in urban planning is that you can reach more jobs faster by car in Dutch cities than American cities — *and* walking, cycling, and transit are faster in Dutch cities.
Building cities for cars fails even cars. @BrentToderian

If only there was someone who could redesign these streets to reduce speeding so the commissioner wouldn't have to spend so much time out there handing out flyers.
Cars grant power, anonymity and impunity in a system optimized for their throughput and convenience. Then put people in fight or flight mode with no physical outlet for an hour a day. Of course they bring out the worst in people.
Good news! We actually CAN build our way out of congestion! It is just a matter about WHAT we build.
