Al final, México no estuvo listo para el Mundial:
- Las obras en el Metro no se terminaron;
- Las obras en Calzada Tlalpan no se terminaron y ya presentan fallas;
- El Metro sigue con fallas profundas: filtraciones, vías sin mantenimiento y trenes viejos.
- Las negociaciones con FIFA resultaron perjudiciales para muchos (palcos, plateas, transmisiones);
- Por primera vez en la historia no se podrá ver el mundial en restaurantes o fondas;
- No pudieron mantener en orden a la Ciudad de México y otras sedes, fracasó la política interior (madres buscadoras, CNTE y transportistas);
- Por primera vez en la historia no asistirá la presidenta a la inauguración;
- No lograron resolver el grave problema de saturación aeroportuaria;
- No terminaron la conectividad con el AIFA y se quedó sin vuelos internacionales;
- El AICM sigue con filtraciones y daños diversos;
- No resolvieron bien el tema de los taxis por aplicación para el aeropuerto;
- El centro de la CDMX no estará en condiciones de recibir turismo, sigue el Zócalo rodeado y con accesos cortados, muchos los negocios del centro tendrán que cerrar;
- El Fan Fest no se realizará en el Zócalo...

Pueden justificar cada uno de los fracasos como quieran, echar culpas a quien quieran, pero al final el resultado es que México no pudo estar listo para el Mundial.
