A russian FPV drone hunted down 54-year-old primary school teacher Iryna Yemelianenko in Kharkiv Oblast.

After spotting the drone, she got out of her car and tried to hide in a tree line. The drone followed her and struck.

Jokes aside, it has been a difficult week, a heavy one. Each passing day seems to draw us deeper into an even harsher reality. Nothing is really unexpected anymore, and perhaps I shouldn’t be worried at this point, but I can’t help it. I cannot take calmly the news of new arrests, violence, indifference, and countless forms of repression.

It is painful to hear that Elene Khoshtaria now walks with a cane, or that she struggles even to hold a pen. It is good that her lawyers have drawn attention to her health.

Here, in this confined space, one’s sensitivity to injustice becomes so acute that everything a person needs simply to live starts to feel insignificant.

What I find difficult to understand is this: in a country where everyone — including doctors and hospital owners themselves — goes abroad not only for treatment but even for medical diagnoses, how can anyone be offended by questions about a prisoner’s health and the plan for treating them under prison conditions? Especially when Elene is one of those people who, even here in prison, does not demand not only what she needs, but not even what she is entitled to.

She has no need for manipulation.

Even I know that before her imprisonment, Elene was getting by with the help of painkillers. The regime knows better than anyone that her health was bound to worsen and become more complicated in prison.

It will be difficult for them to ignore Elene’s condition, after all, she is under 24-hour video surveillance.

I do not think Elene needs words of encouragement from anyone, including me. Still, I want to tell her that she is not alone. Just a shout away from her is another woman — me — who believes in the same ideals and who, like her, will fight to the very end for a democratic and European #Georgia.”

Another verdict in Georgia's October 4 cases. A Tbilisi court sentenced seven people to 3–5 years in prison. Eight others in the same case accepted plea deals—requiring them to admit guilt—and received suspended sentences.

Before the verdict, the defendants spoke their final words.

Dr. Giorgi Chakhunashvili, 72, said he entered the presidential palace grounds for 28 seconds as a medical professional responding to an emergency—saline solution in hand. He has treated over 230,000 children across Georgia for free. "I acted on instinct. I have always fought for life and always will."

Zakro Albutashvili announced he was beginning a hunger strike until opposition leader Helen Khoshtaria is freed. "This regime gave me two choices: become a Pavlik Morozov—the Soviet-era boy who informed on his own parents and became a symbol of betrayal—or choose death in prison. I choose prison."

Davit Sturua: "I cannot admit to something I didn't do. We were defending Georgia's interests and will continue to, whether inside or outside prison."

36-річну масажистку з Мелітополя росіяни катували, а потім кинули за грати на 9 років. Яніну Акулову звинуватили в теракті, якого не було, - лише за любов до України.

Яніна писала мамі листи, в яких казала: "Мамочка, мене так били, що мені уже без разниці було що робити. Я абсолютно вся була синя".

Яніна не мовчала, - навіть під окупацією. Восени 2022 року вона вивезла доньок, бо не хотіла віддавати їх у російські школи. А сама повернулась у Мелітополь, щоб забрати речі та врятувати тварин.

Але не встигла. На блокпості окупантів сказали, що в її авто знайшли вибухівку.

Це була брехня, але Яніну все одно затримали. Два місяці рідні не знали де вона.

Її мама каже: "Ми думаємо, що це все-таки спрацювали місцеві колаборанти, оскільки вона за Україну. Просто знали, яка в неї позиція, і просто підставили".

Яніну показали на росТБ в масці, - ймовірно, щоб приховати сліди катувань.

На камеру вона "зізнається", що хотіли підірвати ринок у Мелітополі.

Разом з нею - Антон Жуковський і Дмитро Сергеєв, яких теж без доказів оголосили терористами.

Безневинних людей засадили: чоловіків до 15, Яніну до 9 років колонії.

Яніна каже: "Росія розлучила мене з моїми дітьми. Я сиджу в СІЗО не зрозуміло за що. Ну, можливо, моя вина в тому, що я люблю свою державу, Україну. Головне, що я всередині патріотка і залишуся нею на все життя. Цього, ваша честь я не буду заперечувати. У мене все".

У полоні жінка схудла на 15 кг, а її бронхіальна астма загострилась.

Мама Яніни, Тетяна вірить в обмін. Старша донька все знає, молодшу досі бережуть від правди.

Її мама каже: "Ми надіємося, що буде обмін, і вона повернеться додому".

Наразі Яніні 38, четвертий рік полону зараз вона відбуває у Володимирській області.

Яніна Акулова - не терористка. Вона не планувала вибухів, не брали до рук зброї. Її катували та засудили лише за те, що вона українка, яка залишилася вдома.

Oleksandra Shchebilova, a 21-year-old State Emergency Service inspector, was severely injured during a Russian attack on Kharkiv.

​On the night of June 15, Oleksandra was working at the site of a Russian drone strike in the Kholodnohirskyi district. A few hours later, Russians launched a follow-up missile strike directly targeting first responders.

Oleksandra suffered shrapnel wounds and lost her right arm. 4 of her colleagues were killed instantly, and another later died in the hospital.
