He has never been anywhere near Messi in terms of creative output or dribbling.

He still outperforms Ronaldo as a goalscorer statistically, who since his early Real days has been a pure goalscorer.

Messi has 129 g and 40 a in 163 matches in CL. Ronaldo has 140 g and 41 a in 183 matches in CL. Messi has better g/a ratio in every possible way.
