When I first published #NothingButTheTruth, I was criticised by a number of conservative, privately-educated barristers for supposedly exaggerating the Bar’s difficulties with class.

There’s still a lot of work to do.

Dame Sue Carr today becomes, and will be known as, the LCJ of England and Wales.

She will be the President of the Courts of England and Wales and Head of the Judiciary of England and Wales.

She is the 98th person to hold this office and the first woman.
