I have written about Greenland in Monday’s Daily Mail. Let’s be clear about two things:
There is no current or imminent threat from Russia or China to Greenland. The only security threat to Greenland right now is the United States or, more specifically, D. Trump.
Nor, should Russian/Chinese threats ever materialise, would Greenland be defenceless, as some imply. It’s a part of Denmark, a founding member of NATO, and so covered by NATO security guarantees, including Article 5. Any threat to Greenland would meet with a NATO-wide response.
