@hacks4pancakes Disinformation about COVID-19 is why my father-in-law's caregiver wasn't vaxed. He died 3 days ago after being exposed to that one person who was mostly asymptomatic.

We've highlighted to the world how vulnerable we are to psyops.

We either respond, or are pwned by anyone.

@thejimjammiest A lot of stores now do deliver which is very nice for the elderly and those who are immunocompromised. I personally love going to the store but don't anymore unless I absolutely must.

@hacks4pancakes One of the reasons I am going into machine learning is to counter propaganda bots. I know social media could easily create defensive counter measures but I don't know if they will unless forced. Machines can usually spot when they are talking to one another, certain humans idk.

@again_pie And untimely had to step out of the room. Afterwards we students would swap to another teacher for certain subjects. The reasoning being to "prepare us for middle school" happened to be the subjects that the teacher was bad at. I think they were fired at the end of the year.

@again_pie Done it, but they had repeatedly called me stupid, yelled, and picked on kids who were not paying attention or goofed off, or didn't fit the mold of a perfect little angel. So I was mad, lashed out in what I considered a reasonable way. They got really mad, face red, cried 4/x

One other thing, I have been in quarantine a lot longer than most of you, it's kind of an involuntary but necessary lifestyle unfortunately. I can go out when there is no pandemic but there is a good chance I will get really sick if I do.

So I think I am an INTP, I am actually pretty sure. I have come to the realization that I am really socially isolated. Haven't heard from any close friends in quite some time. It's been even longer since I have had a meaningful conversation. And it has been eons since any romance

Does anyone have some advice for someone with this personality type, on making new friends? I have been doing my best to form new connections and be social. I have also reached out to old friends. If I am honest the loneliness is getting to me.

@annaecook It sounds awful, also it's providing excellent examples of what not to do. If you would ever like a male wingperson, say at a convention, or find yourself in my neck of the woods feel free to reach out. Although if I am honest I also have terrible luck with dating.

@k8em0 Wait 5-10 years see what is coming out of AI / machine learning. Probably some of the worst and best things to happen in all of human history. Propaganda is going to be insufferable, lots of distribution, lots of chaos. Competition for certain jobs will dwindle even more.

@Austen What I find interesting is the polarization that is happening. It occurs at roughly the same time for reds and blues, wonder what caused it? I am sure there are theories but data would be more interesting, are there any statements from those who took the survey?

@annaecook The tech bros scare me, I sometimes think that I would be happier not going into tech, to avoid them. But be the change you want to see. The tech dating scene is weird.

Also is there a die alone club, if so I am considering joining. That or I need to find a wingperson.

If you were wondering about equal treatment of streamers on Twitch, there is a "do not ban" list that contains specific streamers who receive special protections.

@hacks4pancakes regarding the twitch leak, just wondering how likely is it that the culprit put some sort of malware hidden in the publicly available files? I don't want to touch it with a ten foot pole due to legal issues, but I worry about those who dl it.
