In this case, it's plausible that during Clinton's innaguration, raegan pulled him aside for this exchange

@HellsHarlot402 @historyinmemes Trump nevertheless honors the tradition himself. He formally gave a gift to the Obama family on their way out and it was publicly criticized. They will bitch about him, as they have from day one, and no matter what he does
