It prevents overtime but also cannot create it. If you lose by one, the half point won’t be enough to tie it. The only possible overtime in this scenario is 0-0 in which case…everybody lost including the fans.
Riding time becomes 1/2 a point, or .5 points. Not based on having a minute more. It’s rewarded automatically: whoever rides longer gets it. Now the half point works as a tie-breaker to prevent overtime (continued) #wrestling#ncaawrestling#rulechanges
