Gus was a High School Phenomenon when we all heard his name in Arkansas. He was truly a pioneer of offensive football innovation. He took his ideas and energy to college and won at the highest level. Gus was a genuine man of faith, who personally exuded confidence in a rare way!

His 35-year career began at Arkansas high schools and peaked at Auburn, where he spent eight seasons, won an SEC title, finished as national runner-up in 2013, and beat Nick Saban’s Alabama three times.
