Insightful few hours at Brighton & Hove Albion’s training ground researching piece on their productive academy. Prospects like 18-year-olds Freddie Simmonds brought into first-team training by Fabian Hurzeler, not to make up the numbers but “for their long-term development”. Helps having role models like James Milner and Danny Welbeck to learn from.
Clear pathway. Jack Hinshelwood highlights that (73 games already). I watched a couple of age-group games, and very noticeable was emphasis on self-expression. Also emphasis on education plus opportunity to do coaching badges (Hinshelwood got his B licence at 20). Impressive holistic approach. You can see why parents of talents want their kids to come here. Will link piece later. #BHAFC

The IOC are negligent in their duty of care to female boxers. Knowingly putting males with a huge advantage in the ring with females. These males have been tested & banned by two boxing federations for having XY chromosomes. Its beyond belief but nothing the IOC does fails to disappoint me these days
It was important to highlight the significance of future investment into @LeagueofIreland Academies today to Government.
This investment is crucial if we are to have future success at Men's & Women's Senior International level - particularly post Brexit.
