@CHPZoomer The largest single segment of Canadians and a majority of British Columbians do not identify with any faith community. We are in fact movong rapidly towards a majority agnostic-atheist country.https://t.co/D8CfviZeqA
@therealmrbench People can peacefully gather for religious or protest reasons. It's a hallmark of a functioning and democratic society. You weren't protesting when Catholics disrupted traffic for their march https://t.co/AJ20Z9NDju
@Concern70732755 This is also already the law in Canada. Commit a serious crime (not a traffic ticket or something minor) and you get deported. Has been the law here for a long time.
@BombulusMaximus@MeghanEMurphy The way most developed countries work is that the government (crown) holds the absolute title from which its citizens derive an interest in land. The title is the "fee" and government has the "absolute fee". We can obtain "fee simple" which is what we think of as ownership.
@COKCorruption@MBernardoNews@bcassessment You are conflating the idea of a six story building with the true market value of the land. There are similar properties for sale within a block or so. It's worth a million perhaps....as is. Its railway proximate location is also a detriment.
@truckdriverpleb So.....when Catholics have a Corpus Christi march (also facilitated by police) are you similarly outraged......or are you just a hypocrite? https://t.co/AJ20Z9NDju
@Concern70732755 I can only presume you and the others posted similar outrage over the Corpus Christi March in Toronto this year. That too was facilitated by the police. https://t.co/AJ20Z9NDju
@DylanHoulihan4 Since 1994 Australia, lets you opt for this pledge: From this time forward, I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people, whose democratic beliefs I share, whose rights and liberties I respect, and whose laws I will uphold and obey. Canada should do something similar.
@kammornanchor Careful Bob......you forgot thin skinned. I pointed out his silence in the face of an anti-gay hate march (unlike both MLAs, City Council and the school board who all made clear statements). So he blocked me :)
@DylanHoulihan4 It's an old trope to state that public safety providers "have better things to do" . Probably uttered at least once by everyone who got a speeding ticket.
@acoyne Here's the thing. Google needs content to be relevant... much like your employer. Google makes money (in part) by selling info about client's news selections to advertisers. The traditional news media business model is permanently broken. Something new needs to be built.
@kammornanchor@mikehenry1 @FrankCaputoKTC @CPC_HQ I pointed out his deafening silence and refusal to take a position respecting queer youth. He's now blocked me. Sad to see how @frankcaputoktc is unable to tolerate any criticism....so much for being an MP for all
@kennyspinx1945 @FrankCaputoKTC Everyone has human rights worthy of protection and climate change is real. I'm sure you care about the world your children will inherit. I don't belittle your concerns about struggling families, but that's not a license to attack others or deny science.
