Pickering Councillor Lisa Robinson's allegations of bias were rejected by the court and the applicant’s argument that her freedom of expression was infringed was rejected. Robinson ordered to reimburse the people of Pickering $30k.

@ryangerritsen Pierre pushed me and many other small-c conservatives away from the party and cost the party this election. He was even voted out of his own riding. Many won't come back to the party until he's gone.
@LifelibertyLisa Wild Robinson shouting about “gifts and perks” when she’s the only councillor who accepted Leafs box seats, Raptors tickets, AND a limo ride. 🧐
You can’t expose a loophole you personally crawled through. This isn’t transparency—it’s damage control. #PickeringPolitics#Hypocrisy

It is worthwhile to note that Lisa Robinson, a candidate who was rightly removed by the Conservative Party because of her alleged Islamophobic posts, has unfortunately continued to promote a negative discourse as a member of city council.
She recently appeared on the Kevin J Johnston podcast. KJJ is of course notorious for his Islamophobic conspiracy theories, and where he was eventually incarcerated due to repeated contempt of court charges. On the podcast, the host labelled her colleagues pedophiles, Nazis, and fascists while posting their contact information. The show's host also suggested a violent dog be let loose on council and that "70s biker types with the big biceps … [and] knuckles that had scar-tissue" should remove the mayor and councillors by force.
After repeated alleged incidences of threats and intimidation of councillors and residents, it has come to the point where council members have felt the need to move meetings online.
In 2025, we need to do better - to come together - rather than divide communities based on fear and threats of violence.
