Then using AI #Claude2 to be critical with the SoW with a strength and weakness analysis 🤯🤯.... Plenty of food for thought and the surface is only just scratched.

@teacherofdesign Glad to hear that you found it already! As a DT teacher who is also teaching Food Preparation & Nutrition, it certainly was a timely read for me as I get my head around what this means to teach in the kitchen!
Can a good teacher teach any subject? Not really. Expert teachers have highly specialised skills. In fact, even if they're teaching the *same* subject, a lack of domain-specific knowledge will limit effectiveness. Revisiting Berliner's seminal work on expert teaching⬇️
Really happy to be working with @BBC_Teach on their brand-new BBC micro:bit campaign 😄
If you're a primary school teacher in the UK you can register for a free classroom set! https://t.co/NJuWH9oJ0r

Valid points raised concerning D&T curriculum. I’d add the trivialisation of specialist manual disciplines, histories, and skills; the functionalist reduction of the creative/design process.
Design and technology reform: A hostile takeover disguised as philanthropy https://t.co/vSSVACvntA Check out what @matt_n_mclain, @hardy_alison and me are asking about proposed #dandt plans from one exam board
Enjoyed reading and discussing a chapter from @hardy_alison latest book, Debates in Design and Technology. In Monday’s D&T book club, (@teacherofdesign ), we discussed cognitive theories linked to Design and Technology, a very thought provoking read and chat

@MrsGMcLeanDT You're very lucky that you're working with @DavidRobertsDT. He knows a thing or two about DT! Thanks for the offer of support. Most apricated!
