@eire32@lukeming GAA should have rules, that’s my point. It doesn’t happen often in other sports but regularly in GAA. Don’t care if it’s at HQ level but looking at kit clashes and one team wearing an away jersey isn’t rocket science. Sign language would be great too, include everyone 👍
@eire32@lukeming I linked the uefa page to show that other sports have had rules in place for colour clashes for years if not decades. It’s not that hard, each team has an alternate jersey anyway. County boards should know this is an issue with kit clashes
@D4dependant@eire32@lukeming And what about people who pay tickets to go see it live? Never heard such a stupid response, buy a specific tv? Shows your understanding of it that you think there are glasses that solve colourblindness…..there aren’t
@eire32@lukeming Where did you get those numbers from? Seeing as colourblindness affects 8% of men and around 1% of women, and red/green is by far the most common deficiency, that’s massively underplaying it. It shouldn’t be be a surprise to county boards either https://t.co/MDUDFQVXrw
@AndrewJMullen As someone who has avoided this game for years as it was unwatchable to red-green colourblind fans, I find today easy to watch. There was one year wales wore black shorts and it was slightly better but nothing compared to today. Been in football for years for red-green kit clash
@BrophShane There was one year wales wore black shorts. It was slightly better but still hard to distinguish. This is the first time I’ve been able to watch this game easily so while I understand tradition, these rules have been around with world rugby for years but were just ignored
@thecrowetips@SixNationsRugby And to prove it’s been a well known issue for years, here’s a laughable attempt at fixing it years ago which is was tragically bad and almost insulting - https://t.co/50ONlObRNk
@thecrowetips@SixNationsRugby I have never been able to watch this fixture easily, one year wales were black shorts and it was semi ok. I don’t understand the issue over wearing an away jersey, traditions or not. Football rarely has this issue. Surely if it means 1 in 12 men can now watch it ,it’s worth it?
@DavidFetteroll The frustrating part is that rugby teams always have away kits, and in some cases third kits as well. But instead of using them to help fans be able to see when there is a clash there’s a lot of us that will avoid the game tomorrow. It’s an easy fix, they already have away kits
@AsaFoodAndWine@InsideOut70@TightFive_Rugby Yeah it’s not the first thing that comes to mind when you see a team in red and a team in green play in fairness. But for many of us it just blurs into the same unwatchable mess 😂 so can’t come quick enough to make it a fixture I can watch instead of actively avoid
@AsaFoodAndWine@InsideOut70@TightFive_Rugby This has been mentioned for years. Search Ireland wales colourblind and you’ll see tweets from every year. Irish rugby even came out with this laughable “solution” a few years ago which of course could have been solved by warring a different jersey https://t.co/50ONlObRNk
@hattingh_kobus@TightFive_Rugby Tried to raise this numerous times, only response I ever got was when I asked for a refund of a live game I stupidly decided to go to years ago. This fixture is unwatchable. They’ve known about it for years, Irish rugby even had this laughable campaign https://t.co/50ONlObRNk
@DaithiOGal @officialgaa Can’t watch it at all with that horrible clash of kits. Doesn’t really help colourblind viewers or those in the stands @colourblindorg
