NZ First clearly has the best immigration policies. Need to bump their vote up as high as possible and keep the pressure on to help them get it into the coalition agreement.
.. Thanks.
I might be missing something.
Let's say I've created a seedphrase using koinkeystick.
How do I get the receive only address, or any address, while staying offline.?
Does koinkey, or some other offline device, show the new address, or is a public key required.?
I couldn't see a clear explanation in the link and asking ai made it sound quite complicated.
I'm hoping you'll say that koinkey will give you the new address.
There is only one party who will put commonsense restrictions on mass immigration - and who has the backbone to get it done - that’s NZFirst.
Weak imitation for political sound bites from other parties will always lead to failure - and any political party who scraps their immigration policy 12 days out from the election proves it.
NZ should let in immigrants who we need, not who need us. We need to train, employ, house, assist, and educate New Zealanders FIRST - above all others.
NZFirst will make citizenship mean something - after a short grace period only citizens will be able to vote or collect super. Only citizens will qualify for benefits or social housing - others will have to wait ten years.
We will limit migration to 20,000 per year and stop the unmanageable mass migration.
We will scrap the Accredited Work Visa that currently brings in low skilled workers who work in retail jobs like Pizza Hut or Dominos or vape shops - taking jobs off kiwis.
Migration will be only linked to the high skills we need to fill - and to areas that already have the infrastructure to hold them.
We need to get serious about our immigration policies to ensure we keep our kiwi culture and get our young people employed first ahead of low skilled migrants that want to bring their families with them.
It’s just commonsense - Party Vote NZFirst and let’s put New Zealanders FIRST!
@DelCrxpto@mrwolfFR@Ledger You did:
"The moment you keys are made you have to worry if something is in your device monitoring or you have to sleep with a gun to protect you from a gun."
Ledger is hardly 'some random company' and the facts still are that their secure chip has never been breached.
If you're talking about creating a seed phrase off line and keeping it offline, for cold storage Ledger hww, for example, can do the same thing.
When it comes to sending, you'll still need to verify online.
And, of course, I would never keep all my eggs in one basket.
But hey, you do you, what concerns me is people panicking and doing extra stuff out of fear, that could increase their chances of making a mistake.
Don't forget that more crypto is lost through human error than their secure wallet chip being breached.
Again, not true.
An address generated offline on a new Ledger (using the device’s own entropy) stays completely unsigned and has zero signatures or authorizations until the private key is actually used to sign something.
Saying authorizations and signatures exist from the moment an address is conceived is misleading.
Today's NZ First policy:
The $100bn New Zealand Future Fund
We will establish a “New Zealand Future Fund” of up to $100 Billion to invest solely in a multi-decade infrastructure build, to ensure our future infrastructure security and to enable future economic growth and social enablement.
In the last election campaign, one party understood how seriously our economic decline had quickly become.
There was so much wasteful spending, mainly on consumption, and skyrocketing national debt.
And the latest economic figures out this week underscore how right we were.
Which means that if we are to make a recovery, we desperately need international investment.
And we will not get international investment if we cannot answer the simple question “why invest in New Zealand?”
Our failure to answer that question comes from the paralysis of blind ideology, that begins with the belief that the tax system should be neutral and not pick winners.
All over the world successful countries know better than that. And their economic record is proof. Singapore, Ireland, and now Croatia, and small population Iceland, and the Nordic countries; have climbed to the top of the economic performance ladder whilst we have been on a constant slide.
New Zealand First policy is to answer the question – “why invest in New Zealand?”
We have to attract international investment, the same way these countries have done. By taxation incentivisation.
In a remit at our convention in 2024, where we voted for a New Zealand Future Fund.
To Investigate the development of a “New Zealand Future Fund” of up to $100 Billion to invest solely in a multi-decade infrastructure build, to ensure our future infrastructure security and to enable future economic growth and social enablement.
But we want this investment funds ring-fenced from politicians and political interference. Where the fund is solely used to invest in the future of New Zealand economic infrastructure. And where those investments are in our national interest, and not offshore globalised ownership.
$100 billion is a small sum to expect – if our policies are right.
So, it is New Zealand First policy to look at those successful small nations and introduce polices that mirror their plans.
And let’s face it if an international investor comes to New Zealand to start a wealth creating export driven enterprise, where there was nothing before that, then what have we got to lose.
New Zealand First understands the “Deficit Myth”. If we borrow to spend on wealth creation, rapid export growth, and resilient production, then we will be on the same track as other successful small nations, and dare we say it, the same track we were once on, when we were number one in the world.
It is when you borrow to spend on consumption that so much economic damage is done to a nation, as with a home.
@DelCrxpto@sinclc72168@Ledger@Ledger_Support "authorizations or signatures they place over your seed phrase from the moment of its conception."
Zero.
A fresh Ledger-generated address used only for receiving remains unsigned until you choose to spend or sign with it.
@sinclc72168@DelCrxpto@Ledger@Ledger_Support An address generated offline on a new Ledger (using the device’s own entropy) stays completely unsigned and has zero signatures or authorizations until the private key is actually used to sign something.
So, until you send from that address, it's clean.
