@kudu_biltong@Riebens@AzaniaR1@Patriot_S_A So you are a racist?
Don't know if you saw the presenting of top matriculant in the country, but the majority were black children.
Where is the white academic excellence you keep talking about?
@Riebens@kudu_biltong@AzaniaR1@Patriot_S_A Mathematics is now compulsory, so if you don't take pure mathematics you need to do maths literacy.
The availability of subjects is dependent on the demand for those subjects.
This has always been the case, it's not something new.
@Riebens@kudu_biltong@AzaniaR1@Patriot_S_A Pure mathematics is not being removed or replaced, it is unaffected.
As stated this is not about dumbing down education but addressing the issue of innumeracy.
@Riebens@kudu_biltong@AzaniaR1@Patriot_S_A Additional languages are unaffected, this is about the language of instruction.
Maths literacy is not a replacement for pure mathematics, it was introduced to address the issue of innumeracy as 40% to 50% of students drop mathematics after Grade 9.
Not everyone is a scientist.
@kudu_biltong@Riebens@AzaniaR1@Patriot_S_A The only oppression Afrikaners are facing is intellectual oppression.
For people that claim that everybody needs to stop being a victim you sure do have quite the victim mentality.
@Riebens@kudu_biltong@AzaniaR1@Patriot_S_A This does not only apply to Afrikaans single medium schools either. The BELA bill doesn't single out Afrikaans, in fact the vast majority of other schools where the language of instruction is isiXhosa, isiZulu or other official languages are dual medium schools.
@Riebens@kudu_biltong@AzaniaR1@Patriot_S_A This section addresses accessibility to education. It doesn't remove Afrikaans from schools but allows the government to change single medium schools to dual medium schools where school governing bodies have been gate-keeping education through archaic language policies.
