BUF CHAPEL | @johnavant
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired and revealed Word of God and our God is worthy of our worship. So we gather together as a university community to worship Him.

@OSHawkins Wow. Thanks for this brother. I want to make this my own. Getting older is not easy! One of the greatest Life Action leaders, Mark Bearden, went to be with the Lord this year. He used to quote the theologian Fenelon, “Goodness, unless deeply rooted, diminishes with age."
@JustinPetersMin@JoshBuice@ScottAniol@sikesmatt As a part of a revival ministry I need to say that this is shortsighted thinking at best. As a part of a ntl revival movement in the 90s, it’s hard for me to go anywhere without finding lasting impact on lives & churches. All of us need to walk in humility & guard our judgments
I just preached in NC. A young girl accepted Christ and when the Church applauded she took a bow! 😂 How appropriate. All heaven was observing and angels rejoicing. Praying for more to take a bow this Christmas season. @LifeAction
”Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word….“ Isa 66:5
My pastor, Jay Smith, said today, “You will never tremble if it’s all about you.” If I fear the Lord, I don’t have to fear anything else. If I don’t fear the Lord, I will fear almost everything.
Our 2023 Bible conference begins tomorrow with @johnavant. Please join us at the NRH campus.
We are joined by @nathanlino tomorrow evening at 6 pm.
The focus for our three days together is spiritual awakening and revival.
“We must be ready to allow ourselves to be interrupted by God.” Bonhoeffer
If God wanted you to repent, to change, or even to leave all you do to follow Him, would you be interruptible? @LifeAction

“Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord”

But Godly leadership is fragile. My flesh is a daily threat to it in my life. The answer is having others around me who are HONEST when my leadership looks more like me than Jesus. And I MUST humbly hear. So am I a godly leader? I don’t always know. But those I serve with do.
Enough about ungodly leadership. What does GODLY leadership look like? Well I see it every day with our team at Life Action. I see humility, repentance, forgiveness, & compassion lived out. Godly leadership is all that, & always leads toward the King and His kingdom, not self.
If people send ur staff members sympathy cards when they find out they work for you… you might be a narcissistic leader. 😂 Seriously, narcissism is the fastest way to destroy ur spiritual integrity, far beyond where u work. We either humble ourselves or God will do it for us.
